SMGW 2.0 reinforces our 2023 product portfolio

2022 was a particularly active and exciting year for the smart metering industry. PPC will meet the numerous challenges and developments in the coming year with the second generation of its Smart Meter Gateway, to further strengthen our portfolio of technology and applications. Why SMGW 2.0? "Newer, higher, further" could of course be the watchwords, as in many product development cycles, but for the development of our second generation Smart Meter Gateways, other factors are the key drivers.

PPC will provide Smart Meter Gateways (SMGW) – keystone devices for German Smart Metering and Intelligent Metering Systems (iMsys) – for an initial pilot in Q2 2017 leading to the nationwide Smart Meter Rollout scheduled to start in Q3.

Grid monitoring through Big Data and AI – Research project takes the next step

“Sensors in the Grid” (Fühler im Netz or FiN) a government funded research project has entered its second phase. Based on the finding of the first “Fühler im Netz”, FiN 2.0 will verify large-scale solutions to monitoring grid conditions by means of Big Data and artificial intelligence. The project kick-off took place on 25.06.2019 at the offices of Power Plus Communications (PPC) in Mannheim, Germany.
