Grid monitoring through Big Data and AI – Research project takes the next step
[:de]Das Vorhaben „Fühler im Netz (FiN)“ startet auf breiter Basis durch. Aufbauend auf dem geförderten Forschungsvorhaben FiN werden nun in FiN 2.0 großflächige Lösungen zur Netzzustandsüberwachung mittels Big Data und künstlicher Intelligenz erprobt. Der Projekt Kick-Off fand am 25.06.2019 bei PPC in Mannheim statt. [:en]“Sensors in the Grid” (Fühler im Netz or FiN) a government funded research project has entered its second phase. Based on the finding of the first “Fühler im Netz”, FiN 2.0 will verify large-scale solutions to monitoring grid conditions by means of Big Data and artificial intelligence. The project kick-off took place on 25.06.2019 at the offices of Power Plus Communications (PPC) in Mannheim, Germany.[:]
PPC’s Smart Meter Gateways first to achieve full certification by the BSI
[:de]Das Smart Meter Gateway der Power Plus Communications AG und der OpenLimit SignCubes AG hat die Common Criteria-Zertifizierung des Bundesamtes für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik erhalten. Die Zertifizierung belegt die sicherheitstechnische Eignung des SMGWs für den Einbau in intelligente Messsysteme (iMSys).[:en]The first Smart Meter Gateways (SMGW) to achieve Common Criteria Certification from the Federal Office for Security in Information Technology (BSI) have been developed by Power Plus Communications AG.[:]
E.ON has ordered 16,000 smart meter gateways from PPC
[:de]Der Rollout intelligenter Messsysteme (iMSys) steht unmittelbar bevor: E.ON hat bei PPC 16.000 zertifizierte Smart Meter Gateways (SMGWs) mit integrierter LTE-WAN-Kommunikation bestellt.[:en]E.ON has ordered 16,000 smart meter gateways from the manufacturer PPC, thus paving the way for the installation of smart metering systems as required by law, which will start this year.[:]
PPC to provide first 10,000 devices to EnBW
[:en]PPC will provide Smart Meter Gateways (SMGW) – keystone devices for German Smart Metering and Intelligent Metering Systems (iMsys) – for an initial pilot in Q2 2017 leading to the nationwide Smart Meter Rollout scheduled to start in Q3.[:]
